Ephraim Bittner
Alpha Indian here at PV, and head of the team's Social Media. Has so much clout that the new Instagram page instantly gained 200 followers in the first week. He's got the biggest hands around, great for typing out sentences in a flash. His wits are unrivaled despite being a first year and he's ready and willing to do whatever is asked of him. The last thing that concerns Ephraim is fear. Oh, and it's pronounced eefrum.

Brazilian mythical God. Varsity wrestler by sophomore year. Soccer player for one year, but Messi asked him to quit. Can speak four languages: Portuguese, English, Spanish, and Money. Rumor has it he was born in the depths of the Amazonian jungle. Not just a sugar daddy to the team, a cellulose guardian. Had a minivan but it got too cool so now drives a focus. K/D beats Ephraim’s by 3 whole. Lived in Germany for 2 years, now he could take over Poland with just his right thumb.

Andrew Witters
With already a year of FIRST experience from his 6th grade Lego League team Andrew knows what he's doing. He's entering his final year at 18 years old and has some amazing achievments. One of them being an eagle scout, which takes a lot of work and time. Part time unicyclist, part time runner and biker. If he's not out on the field he's at home with his 2 cats. Surprisingly he's the youngest of his 3 siblings. Andrew likes pizza like his personality and killer instinct; cold.
An Phan
An Phan is 14 years old. This is his first year on team 6093. He has had a couple years experience with the FIRST competition. He is the robot technician and help to build and fix the robot. He is not in charge of the robot design, but he helps to create robot prototypes for the programmers to work on. He make sure to fix all of the tiny details and flaws that the robot has. He decided to join robotics to explore his engineering side.
Vishwajit Subramaniam
This master builder decided to offer up his knowledge to the Pleasant Valley Robotics program this year. Participating in FIRST for six years has allowed Vishwajit to gain a wealth of expertise regarding game strategy, design, and the construction of the robot. Besides creating, manufacturing, and maintaining Deviation From The Norm’s robot, Mr. Subramanian participates in a variety of other extracurricular activities. The senior is part of the choir, tennis team, astronomy club, and ultimate Frisbee club. He has also been on the math team for four years. Vishwajit is an Indian native and lived there for 10 years before moving to the United States. After high school, he plans to pursue a degree in either Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science.
Kishore Vijaykumar
5 years with FIRST, Kishore has a lot of experience in the field. He's an upcoming on the rise Future Tennis Player.

Rishab Verma
Rishab Verma, an apprentice to the well known CAD wizard, taught under Mr. Stutenberg, is a 16 year old on the fast track to success. Being the head modeler for Deviation From The Norm, Rishab is constantly repping it out on Autodesk Inventor. When he’s not putting in work during robotics season, Rishab enjoys biking, playing basketball, and smacking the tennis ball and birdie around. Besides these physical activities, Mr. Verma races RC cars and speed cubes. Born in India, raised in Canada Rishab is ready to claim his FTC championship world title, and won't let anyone get in his way. No, literally nobody. Rishab will actually kill you if you think you can deter him in any way shape or form. He does not tolerate any form of deterrence and will kill you instantaneously with his superheated eyesight, capable of projecting beams of 10,000 degrees celsius.
Blake Friemel
Blake Friemel, aka the tech genius, is Deviation From The Norm’s strategy guy. Here you can see blake designing a website using a simple computing device these humans call a computer, with the traditional two dimensional pointing directional input device and letter inputing board of keys. This junior's primary job is to break down the robot game and maximize the team’s point capacity, but Blake also dabbles in other aspects of FTC, a common human term. He has recently assisted human Jordyn and object Trinity in the marketing and social media sector by helping create Deviation From The Norm’s website. Besides robotics, Blake has many other human interests. One might find Blake "pumping iron" in the designated body conditioning room also known as a weight room, swimming laps in the pool, or engaged in hand to hand combat with members of the human race. In his free time, Mr. Friemel enjoys playing video games and modifying games in JavaScript, one game he plays is Hearthstone despite being a meta using scrub. Blake can also code a website from scratch, without the assistance of a website building program, which is quite impressive for a human, but maybe not Blake. After high school, Blake plans on attending an Illinois engineering college as is a common trait of successful humans.
Trinity Shi
Trinity is entering her second year on Deviation From The Norm. She is currently a senior and is primarily responsible for team fundraising and outreach. Since Trinity is a very sociable, joyful, and outgoing person, this position is a perfect fit for her. Ms. Shi assists the building and marketing sectors as well. Besides robotics, Trinity is also a part of the diving team at PVHS. She is a member of multiple clubs such as Future Physicians of America (FPA), Girls Learn International(GLI), and Social Committee. Trinity hopes to contribute to the success of Team DFN this season, despite her intense strength and killer instinct that takes all her self control to keep stowed within the deep reaches of her dark and powerful mind.
Justin Sehlin
Cheesehead, elite tennis player, and future FTC champion are just a few names Justin Sehlin responds to. This Pleasant Valley Junior is entering his second year on Deviation From The Norm, but has competed in numerous other robotics competitions on previous teams. Last year, Justin decided to ditch all the other nerds and join the PVHS powerhouse, DFN. Working primarily on the build team, Justin is ready to add his input and offer up but a small amount from his infinitely vast sea of endless and supreme knowledge. Mr. Sehlin is also part of the PV tennis squad. He often dreams of winning an individual or team state title. Although this racket sport is his passion, Justin can hold his own on the soccer field as well(He played for 10 years). As was already hinted at, Justin is a Green Bay Packers fanatic. He enjoys watching NFL games and participating in fantasy football. After graduating from Pleasant Valley High School, Justin wants to play division three college tennis and earn a degree in engineering. Sometimes you may hear weird things uttered from his mouth like "This human form is limiting" and such, but that just adds to his charm.
Grant Housman
Mr. Housman is entering his second year as the head coach of Deviation From The Norm. Before joining the PVHS staff, Mr. Housman graduated from Central DeWitt High School and then pursued a post-secondary education at The University of Northern Iowa. His peers often referred to him as the Robotics God-Master Level ∞, and it's a title well given. He student taught at Pleasant Valley three years ago, and was immediately hired by the district as a PLTW teacher the following year. In his free time, Coach Housman enjoys watching professional sports, hunting, and fishing, despite not being very good any any of those listed says his dad. He roots for the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Chicago Cubs(Fly the W). Although, his true grit is exemplified through his fanaticism and dedication to the Jacksonville Jaguars. It is truly a miracle that this man can constantly put up with year after year of complete obliteration. A fun fact about Mr. Housman is that he almost met David Johnson, the star running back for the Arizona Cardinals, while attending UNI. Mr. Housman is known around PV for his exceptional style. The student body is always commenting on how rad his collared shirts are. He pushes the limits of fashion even further with his jorts and sick kicks. I still think he should invest in a pair of PIRATE BLACK YEEZY BOOST. I don't doubt that they add to his clout tenfold, if not one hundredfold. Deviation From The Norm is pleased to welcome such a well-rounded individual, despite being relatively lacking in clout as their head coach. Mr. Housman plans on bringing fresh blood into the PV Robotics family this year.
